Jets vs Dolphins Odds, Picks, and Predictions Week 15: Miami's Defense Clamps Wilson & Co.

In somewhat of a role reversal, it’ll be the Miami Dolphins coming off an embarrassing loss hosting the New York Jets after a lopsided win.

This is a rematch from three weeks ago where Miami laid the smackdown up in New Jersey, destroying the Jets 34-13 and outgaining them by 236 yards.

NFL odds have the Dolphins favored by 8.5 points with the total sitting at 37.5. The teams will look a little bit different than they did in their matchup a few weeks ago, so let’s dive in and I’ll provide you with my free NFL picks for Jets vs. Dolphins on December 17.

Football Australia must learn lessons from past in Lisa De Vanna abuse investigation

Political scientist Ivan Krastev has said “transparency is not about restoring trust in institutions, transparency is the politics of managing mistrust”. He was referring to democracy, but the statement also makes for a remarkably appropriate description of the modern sporting landscape.

Allegations by Lisa De Vanna that she was subjected to sexual harassment, indecent assault, grooming and bullying from senior players throughout her career elicit two distinct reactions. The first is visceral, containing all the expected feelings of unease, sadness and despondency generally accompanying such subject matter. The second is more intellectual, a kind of here-we-go-again sentiment preceding yet another investigation followed by another set of…

Leeds suffer for the cause to give Sam Allardyce hope of beating the drop

Sam Allardyce had waited two years to manage a competitive match and the wait will arguably go on for another week, after he witnessed his new Leeds side suffer at the hands of Manchester City. But there were, in the end, positives to cling to.

The 68-year-old had been given three days on the training ground to impart his methods. It would appear those sessions were attack v defence to prepare them for facing an inevitable afternoon of City domination but Leeds exerted maximum effort, Allardyce’s minimum requirement.

The 2017 Hater’s Guide To The MLB Playoffs

Hey, it’s finally baseball season! Pitchers pitchin’! Catchers catchin’! Bats crackin’! Batters scratchin’! So in honor of baseball’s glorious return next week, I think it’s time we say a bunch hateful, ignorant crap about every team in this year’s playoff field, which includes … the Yankees and Red Sox? AGAIN?! Oh god fucking dammit. Go away, you two. Yes, it’s your Hater’s Guide to the playoffs, and that is the subject of this week’s Deadcast. But wait! There’s somehow even more. The esteemed Lindsey Adler—whose San Francisco Giants did not make the playoffs this year because they were terrible—joins me to talk about th…

Bucs Employee Arrested For DUI, Allegedly Rear-Ended Car At Taco Bell

Buccaneers director of player development Isaiah Harris was arrested at a Tampa Taco Bell early this morning on a charge of driving under the influence. Harris didn't allow police to administer a blood-alcohol test, per Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times, but the arrest report says Harris allegedly hit a woman's car while trying to back up in the Taco Bell drive-thru. More from Auman's report: The police officer observed "several clues of possible impairment," including "an abnormal lack of alertness" and "slow lethargic mannerism … his eyes were bloodshot, watery and glassy." The officer smelled "a distinct odor of an alchoholic beverage" from his breath and "his speech was slurred." Field sobriety exams "displayed…
